About Us

SelfGuardTraining is a U.S. Veteran owned business that was founded in 1988. We provide professional development training to both public and private organizations. Our clients have covered all sectors, including military, colleges, and private companies. Our professional instructors come from a background built on real life experience. We have personally tested all of the theories we once learned and now teach. Time and time again, we have seen them proven valid in the streets. We have studied and dissected the various, intense situations, repeating what went well and improving what didn't.

Our instructors are humbled and honored that organizations trust their future to us. We are humbled and honored by the positive feedback we receive from the organizations we work with. Our proven track record and credibility gives us the confidence to assure you that the results of the time and effort we have spent developing our training programs
will result in your organization and staff becoming stronger and more resilient. We believe it is vital to have plans in place to combat active shooter; a proven plan that is designed to minimize injury and death. A realistic plan that will work in the event of a traumatic incident. Strategies in place translate to limited exposure to liability.  We believe inclusion, sensitivity, understanding and learning while hardening your resolve are the keys to building trust, transparency, and legitimacy.
